William E. "Bill" Carney, age 62, of Jackson, Ohio passed away on February 24th, 2025, after a short battle with a rare, aggressive cancer. Bill was born February 24th, 1963, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Bobby J. and Nancy (Schwab) Carney.
Bill was a 1981 graduate of Oak Hill High School. He was a hard worker and through the years worked at several companies including the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, the Federal Railroad Administration, Kenworth, and with the Atomic Plant.
Bill was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1983-1987 as a Sergeant. He also served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant from 2006-2016. During his time in the military, he served his country in both the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. He eventually retired from active duty but served as Staff Sergeant with the Ohio Army National Guard from 2016-Present.
